Picking and choosing

What stirs this idea in my head again was the Prop-8 Musical, very well done, funny, but awefully agressive and wrong... but right too!

Do Bible believers pick and choose what they want out of the Bible? Yes! They do.

Do "ALL" Bible believers pick and choose what they want out of the Bible? No! They don't.

People love to pick out the fonies to point out the faults of a set of people. But really they aren't doing anything but raising the emotions of their followers and supporters, in a way lying to them about that set of people.

If I said all Atheists were hateful mean people because I happen to know a few, that doesn't mean Atheism is a hateful and mean religion. Even if 99% or even 100% of Atheists were hateful and mean it wouldn't mean Atheism in its own definition was a hateful and mean belief system. The definition of Atheism doesn't include becoming hateful and mean.
